Welcome to the website for pianist, Dr. Robert D. Carney.

Dr. Robert D. Carney is an active soloist and chamber musician with recent and upcoming engagements including concerto performances in Kansas City and Topeka and solo recitals in Europe and throughout the US. His students have been prizewinners in state, regional, and international competitions and have appeared with orchestra and performed at prestigious venues such as Merkin Hall in New York. As a pedagogue, Carney has presented throughout the United States and abroad on topics ranging from teaching technique and expression to using Web-based tools in the piano studio. Carney has degrees from the University of North Texas (DMA) and Louisiana State University (MM) and has studied at the prestigious Aspen Music Festival in Colorado. Carney is currently Associate Professor of Music at Southwest Baptist University where he teaches piano.

An avid music educator, Dr. Carney has taught students of all ages and abilities for the last 20 years. Dr. Carney teaches piano lessons in Springfield, Missouri. This site includes resources for current piano students and teachers.
