Composition Contest for Student Affiliates

NOTE: To participate in the composition contest, you have to be a student affiliate member.

ALSO: You MUST pass the theory test in order to participate in this event.

With this activity you can write your own composition and then send it in to be judged. You may also win a prize! There are two levels to this activity: local and state.

LOCAL LEVEL

If your piece is awarded a "I" or "II" rating, you will perform your piece on the awards recital!

DEADLINE: Submit your composition by October 21st, 2009

FEES: $15

AWARDS RECITAL: Jan 9, 2010; Steinway Hall, Fort Worth

STATE LEVEL

If your piece was performed locally, you are elligible for the state contest! Additional fees apply, and you would need to be available for additional recitals.
